Renee Maloof McCormick
Reflecting on my art, I see different classifications of beauty, peace, and torment. Sometimes manifested in color, sometimes in texture, materials glide together and the conflict between physical paradigms seems to fall away as the spirit is exposed.

I studied with artists from the representational view to abstraction. Exploring different methods and materials from printmaking, watercolor, oil, encaustic et al, I have been able to constantly challenge myself. Awarded scholarships from the Art Students League and two four-week scholarship residencies at the Vermont Studio Center. I taught art from first to eighth grades and have been a trustee for over ten years at the Art Center of Northern NJ.
